For the most flexibility, we recommend renting a car at the airport.

All airport rental locations are just outside the terminal, a shuttle will take you directly from baggage claim, and the process is usually quick and easy.

A rental car is helpful if you want to explore the island (beaches, scenic drives, coffee farms, waterfalls, etc.), but not required for the wedding week.

If you’re planning to stay mostly in the Waikoloa area and don’t need a car for exploring, ride-share or local shuttles are an easy option.

Uber and Lyft operate at KOA, and several shuttle services run directly to Waikoloa. This is best for quick trips and guests who don’t expect to leave the resort area often.

Justin and Kayla will be renting a car and are happy to help with airport pickups. If you need a ride from KOA → Waikoloa, just let us know your arrival time and we’ll coordinate.
